Alianza por la Solidaridad is a civil organisation that was born from the fusion of Solidaridad Internacional, Ipade and Habitáfrica.
Over the last few decades we have worked on human and economic development in other continents. Today, the challenges are global and must likewise be tackled from a global perspective and with a focus on Human Rights.
As a civil society organization, we pursue a model of an informed and critical global citizenship which wants to play a part in the necessary social changes in order to bring about a world which is more orientated towards the people which inhabit it.
The causes that really strike a chord with us are civil participation, democracy and the defense of the rights of migrant people, the rights of women around the world, and sustainable rural and urban development. We also offer support when there is an emergency or humanitarian crisis in a zone in which we have strong local networks and alliances.
Our local work across four continents and the alliances that we have on a global level pursue equality of rights and opportunities of all people without discrimination, redistribution of wealth and the implementation of alternative models of development.
The ultimate aim is a social model in which people, their personal development and their wellbeing are the axis of all political decisions.
